The bad weather never appeared but neither did any other plans. We hung around the house enjoying a relaxing day.

The kids and I investigated a new life size poster of a body. One of those half outside, half insides type. I find it fascinating how curious and interested they are without being squeamish of the pictures or concepts.

The kids and I played in the sprinkler and mowed the lawn. It was very hot.

As the weather was predicted to be bad on the 4th, we canceled those plans and went to see the fireworks at Canterbury. Sophie had a blast, Devlin fell asleep on my lap.

On the drive to Canterbury, Sophie initiated a conversation on whether cows were mammals. After explaining the rules for mammal classification to her, she and Devlin proceeded to classify dogs, cats, snakes, ducks, and some others accurately as mammals or not.

They also determined that fireworks were not mammals as they were not alive... Grin

MBA
Settling in for a long night of homework to be prepared for the first session of my 2nd MBA term.  Why a long night?  Because I procrastinate and because it took longer than hoped for to get the books - but mostly the first.  Oh...and because I keep checking in on here and facebook and then am surprised that so much time has gone past...

This is looking like a very frightening term.  There are two classes, management accounting and marketing management.  I think they will both be interesting.  However, the homework levels on the management accounting class look a bit excessive (at least compared to last term) especially when you take into account that this is an MBA for CPAs and they put those hours during tax season.  This term runs from January 10 to April 18!  ack

The marketing class has not handed out the syllabus yet, we get that tomorrow.  However, the assignment for tomorrow was to read the first three chapters in this book, which turns out to be 90 pages in small print.

When I had to give up my Wipfli laptop I learned that I had no idea what my password was anymore - and the "send it to me" options are only going to my no-longer-working address so...  I got tired of not knowing what was going on with folks.
